World Hearing Day
World Hearing Day is observed annually on March 3 to raise global awareness about hearing loss and to promote ear and hearing care. It highlights the importance of protecting hearing, preventing hearing impairment, and ensuring that people with hearing loss receive proper support and treatment.
Theme for 2026
“From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children.”
This theme highlights the importance of protecting children’s hearing health and ensuring that ear and hearing care services are available everywhere—from homes and communities to schools and classrooms. Early identification and treatment of hearing problems help children learn better, communicate effectively, and participate fully in society.
